A stray Scot from Dundee, I have lived in London for nearly thirty years and am currently working in the film industry as a painter of models, miniatures, bigatures, backdrops and most recently in creature effects.

Having grown up with and been heavily influenced by the works of Ray Harryhausen, 70s and 80s science fiction films and theatre, I have since enjoyed a varied career from opera design and theatre modelmaking to painting for stop-motion animation and live action film.

I'm passionate about practical paint effects and am

constantly fascinated by how they bring life to visual elements in film, especially through the use of models.
